Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R) is an interdisciplinary design studio that works at the intersection of architecture, the visual arts, and the performing arts. With a focus on cultural and civic projects, DS+R's work addresses the changing role of institutions and the future of cities. Four partners—Elizabeth Diller, Ricardo Scofidio, Charles Renfro and Benjamin Gilmartin—lead the New York-based studio of 100 architects, designers, artists and researchers. Most recently, DS+R completed the Roy and Diana Vagelos Education Center at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, Zaryadye Park in Moscow, and The Broad museum in Los Angeles.
The studio has also designed facilities for Stanford University, University of California Berkeley, Brown University, University of Chicago, and University of Toronto. Other notable projects include the Museum of Modern Art, The Shed multi-arts center, the High Line and the renovation of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts’ campus, all in New York City.
